Joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1959

Ships served :
Aircraft carrier HMAS Melbourne
Minesweepers HMAS Curlew & HMAS Hawk
Submarines HMS Finwhale, HMAS Otway & HMAS Oxley.

Paid off from the RAN as a Warrant Officer after 20 years of service in 1979,
moving to wife's home town of Townsville and in 1990 to Cairns.
